CaRE Foundation
The Cardiovascular Research and Education (CaRE) Foundation was founded in July 1996 by Cardiovascular Associates of Northern Wisconsin, the exclusive cardiology practice of the Aspirus Heart & Vascular Institute.
The foundation strives to find better ways of preventing, diagnosing and treating heart disease and educating the public with its findings. Research efforts involve medications, treatment options and new advances in hopes of improving cardiovascular care and prevention for residents of the communities we serve.
Mission
The mission of the CaRE Foundation is to advance the safe, effective and compassionate practice of cardiovascular medicine in north central Wisconsin. The CaRE Foundation promotes the understanding of cardiovascular disease and improves treatment options by:
· Conducting investigations and studies to discover, develop or verify the causes, diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control of cardiovascular disease.
· Planning and sponsoring continuing medical education for health care workers.
· Providing educational opportunities for the public.
· Cooperating with Aspirus Wausau Hospital to engage in a continuing joint effort to combat cardiovascular disease.
